The Vila Real de Santo António City Council is “ordering and disciplining parking and car traffic at Praia da Fábrica”, in the parish of Vila Nova de Cacela.
«The measure aims to allow the correct flow of car traffic and ensure all safety conditions to guarantee access for emergency and rescue vehicles to the interior of the Factory location», explains the VRSA Chamber, in a press release.
In order to avoid incorrect and/or abusive parking of vehicles, the Municipal Civil Protection Service and the Transit and Mobility Center of the municipality reinforced «the prohibitive signage (horizontal and vertical) and delimited with bays the most problematic places of this which is one of the most sought after tourist areas in the county».
The implementation of the new signage was accompanied by Álvaro Araújo, mayor of VRSA, who is also the head of Municipal Civil Protection, and by councilor Álvaro Leal, responsible for traffic.
