On 8 June, the Municipality of Silves launched a public tender, with a base value of 700 thousand euros, to extend the water supply network to Vale Figueira, in the parish of São Bartolomeu de Messines.
According to the municipality, "this is yet another large project that involves the construction of 8,5 kilometers of ducts, including branches, accessories and complementary devices, serving 110 households, representing a significant budgetary effort in a time of price escalation, which reduces the investment capacity of municipalities'.
The project «is part of the vast and qualified investment that the municipality promotes in the scope of the extension, remodeling, consolidation and modernization of the water supply system throughout the municipality of Silves».
