First ham in the Algarve opens at the Portimão Market

Only the ham will be Spanish. Everything else is Portuguese

Presuntaria do Mercado, the first specialized house in the Algarve whose star product is ham, will open on Friday, July 29, at the Municipal Market of Portimão, by the hand of local entrepreneurs.

On sale will be 100% acorn Iberian ham, with the Guijuelo Denomination of Origin (from the Salamanca area), knife-cut, supplied by Beher, the best Spanish producer of this delicacy.

Tiago Águas, operations director of Presuntaria do Mercado, explained to the Sul Informação that, in the rest of the space, all products will be Portuguese. And so there will be no shortage of equally excellent wines, all of them produced in Portugal, which go very well with any ham.

There will also be an area dedicated to gourmet grocery stores, such as products made from Algarve carob, La Rose preserves, Água Monchique, among others.

In this new space, competitions and other experiences will also be promoted, which will soon be announced.

Presuntaria do Mercado will also bet on home deliveries, throughout the Algarve, from the 1st of September.

A Market ham It will be open at the same time as the Portimão Municipal Market: Monday to Friday, from 07 am to 00 pm and from 14 pm to 00 pm, on Saturdays from 17 am to 00 pm.
