A 45-year-old man who assaulted his partner and threatened her with a white weapon, in Portimão, was arrested on Monday, July 4th, for domestic violence and was held in preventive detention.
Following a request for help “from a victim of domestic violence, who had been attacked and threatened with a white weapon, all in the presence of her minor children”, the PSP Criminal Investigation Squadron in Portimão found “that this episode it was not an isolated situation” and that it was even “characterized by episodes of high severity”.
On July 04, 2022, police officers from the Criminal Investigation Squadron of Portimão, in compliance with an arrest and conduct warrant, proceeded to capture the suspect who, after being presented to the competent Judiciary Authority, took him to the prison for having been applied to coercive measure of preventive detention.
