UAlg's MILAGE APRRENDER+ Platform will deliver the national prizes Professor Inovador and Aluno Aprender+ on the 14th of July, at 17:00, at the Convento de São Francisco, in Santarém.
The initiative, which takes place within the scope of the VI International Conference on Mobile Learning in the MILAGE Project, dedicated to the theme "Transformation of Schools", and the 4th Edition of the MILAGE APRENDER+ Awards, will recognize Innovative Mathematics, Portuguese and English teachers and Students Learn+, in the Mathematics Half Marathon, Classification, Author and Influencer categories.
The session, which takes place at 9:00 am, will be attended by Ana Cristina Perdigão, director of the National Erasmus+ Agency, Inês Barroso, deputy to the Assembly of the Republic, and Ricardo Gonçalves, mayor of Santarém.
The initiative, organized by the University of Algarve, has the support of the Municipality of Santarém, the Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Ginestal Machado, from the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, from the Directorate-General for Education, from the Association of Mathematics Teachers, from the Association of Portuguese Teachers, from the Portuguese Press Association (API), from InCode Portugal 2030, from the Portuguese Mathematics Society, from the SeguraNet Awareness Center, the Portuguese Association of Teachers of English (APPI), the Portuguese Association of Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language (APPELE), the National Reading Plan (PNL 2027), e-twinning, Texas Instruments and Garvetur.
The awards involve around 100 students and teachers.
O MILAGE LEARN+ Mathematics Half Marathon Prize recognizes students as a group-class through everyone's participation in solving MILAGE tasks. The purpose of this award is to motivate students and promote peer mentoring for learning Mathematics, so that everyone can achieve school success.
O MILAGE LEARN+ Award Spanish, English, Mathematics or Portuguese recognizes the merit of students and their respective primary (2nd and 3rd cycles) and secondary schools, which are in the top 10 of scores by solving tasks in Spanish, English, Mathematics and Portuguese, during the academic year 2021/2022 .
O Student Author Award MILAGE APRRENDER+ Digital Citizenship, Mathematics or Portuguese recognizes the merit of students, teachers and their groups/schools, who, during the 2021/2022 school year, created original educational resources, in project work, developing transversal skills and making them available to the MILAGE community.
O Student Influencer Award aims to recognize the merit of students in promoting innovative pedagogical practices.
O Innovative Professor Award Author MILAGE APRRENDER+ Mathematics, Portuguese and English distinguishes the merit of the author teachers of each of the scientific areas who, during the 2021/2022 school year, developed the most original resources with activities in Mathematics, Portuguese or English to be made available on the MILAGE APPRENDER+ App.
