Eco Jazz is the name of the new project of the Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve, a «brand that will now be part» of the activities and that will have «specific actions in the near future».
«The concept, in addition to environmental issues, is also combined with unique locations, most often also linked to heritage», explains the Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve.
Two examples are the initiatives Beliche Jazz (Sagres, Vila do Bispo), and Cachopo Jazz (Tavira), which will be two of the events included in Eco Jazz.
«What we want now is to pass this message and concern to the public, to each technician, to each person, who works in our sphere, and to lead them to individually adopt this type of practices», says Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve.
Moreover, good practices within this orchestra are already old, «with the sharing of resources between musicians and the Orchestra, namely sharing transport, not using disposable means, reducing the use of plastic and using recyclable materials and products ».
