O Gambelas/Quinta do Lago fire it is already in the area of Trafal and Fonte Santa, in the parish of Quarteira (Loulé).
The images from SIC Notícias show how the fire reached the town of Trafal, just before the beach, reaching kilometers from Quinta do Lago.
This fire, which started in Gambelas (Faro), spread to the municipality of Loulé early this morning. Since then, it has progressed miles and miles.
In Quinta do Lago, there were evacuations: both from houses and from the shopping center Fifth Shopping. Restaurants and golf courses were also closed, as was car traffic.
The authorities' concern is precisely focused on the municipality of Loulé, since, in Gambelas, the situation is calmer.
There are currently 324 firefighters, 116 vehicles and two air assets fighting the flames.
