IC1 cut between Ourique and São Bartolomeu de Messines due to fire

The fire has two active fronts and is being fought by 344 operational personnel, 113 vehicles and eight air assets.

Traffic on the IC1 is cut off between Ourique and São Bartolomeu de Messines due to the fire that is active in the parish of São Marcos da Serra (Silves). 

The information was given to our newspaper by a source from the Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Algarve.

The alternative is to use the A2.

This fire broke out around 13 pm, in the area of ​​Fica Bem (São Marcos da Serra).

The flames have already forced the evacuation from various locations, such as Boião, Alcarias Novas, Corte Peral, Chaminé, Boião and Casas Velhas.
