A man died this Wednesday, July 27, when he was run over by a train, in the Pontes de Marchil area, at the entrance to Faro.
The alert was given around 13:15.
A source from the Algarve Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command told Sul Informação that it has not yet been possible to «determine the age of the man».
Circulation on the Algarve Line is «interrupted», according to a source from the GNR.
There are 12 operational personnel on site, supported by five vehicles, from the Fire Department, GNR and INEM.
