The new public transport service «Via Faro», which creates five new lines and four circuits, connecting various points in the municipality with each other and with the city centre, starts operating this Monday, August 1st, announced the Municipality of the Algarve capital.
This new public transport operation will be promoted by União de Transportes dos Carvalhos, Lda. (UTC), which until now did not operate in the Algarve.
The new lines and circuits, which will now serve passengers traveling in the county, are as follows:
– Line 1: Embroidery – Faro
-Line 2: Asparagus - Faro
– Line 3: Estoi – Gorjões
– Line 4: Faro – Beautiful Corral
– Line 5: Montenegro – Santa Bárbara de Nexe
– Circuit 8: Sea and War – Braciais
– Circuit 9: Braciais – Sea and War
– Circuit 10: Forum – Health Center
-Circuit 11: Health Center – Forum
The fleet of the «Via Faro» consists of 11 vehicles, of which nine long vehicles and two minibuses, and, according to the municipality, «prize for comfort and modern technology, allowing accessibility to users with reduced mobility in all vehicles».
