Beach soccer, footvolley, fitness, water aerobics and zumba classes. The Praia da Rocha Sports Area (Portimão) will once again be, for the 12th year, a privileged meeting point for those who wish to spend their free summer time practicing sports.
In addition to the activities scheduled at specific times, which will take place between August 1 and September 10, the space has ideal conditions for the informal outdoor sports of beach football, beach volleyball, footvolley and frisbee.
Scheduled activities are coordinated by accredited instructors and take place from Monday to Friday, between 8:45 am and 20:00 pm. On these days, at 10:00 am and 11:00 am, there are fitness and water aerobics classes, while at 18:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, there are Zumba classes.
On the other hand, from 8:45 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the day starts with yoga, with Pilates scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays at the same time.
All activities carried out on the equipment are free of charge and interested parties will only need to attend the Praia da Rocha Sports Area, which, as in the previous year, has Decathlon Portimão as its official sponsor.
Different events open to participants are also scheduled for the coming weeks, with emphasis on the 20th stage of the National Beach Volleyball Championship (29th and 31st of July), organized by the Portuguese Volleyball Federation.
The August schedule starts on the 6th, with the 31st Sea Test of Praia da Rocha, organized by Portinado, while Hasbro will be on the beach with the Nerf Challenge Tour 2022, which takes place on the weekend of the 6th and 7th.
Between the 12th and 14th of August, and as a way of marking the International Youth Day, which is celebrated on the 12th, the Municipality of Portimão will organize sports tournaments in the modalities of beach football, footvolley, beach volleyball and rugby tag, in partnership with Dypall and within the scope of the Geração XXI program, additional information may be requested and the respective registrations can be carried out via the email [email protected]
Finally, on the 27th and 28th of August, the 8th stage of the National Footvolley Championship is played, organized by the National Federation of the sport.
In September, the Beactive Beach Games take place on the 3rd and 4th, which include dozens of sports activities available for free practice for the entire population.
