Covid-19: Algarve has 1450 fewer active cases than a week ago

According to the Civil Protection Commission of the Algarve Region

The number of active cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve dropped by 1450, to a total of 8751, in the last week, revealed this Friday, the 1st of July, the Civil Protection Commission of the Algarve Region, in its weekly report. assessment of the epidemiological situation in the region.

From 00:00 on the 24th until midnight on the 30th of June, there were 4261 new cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve, bringing the accumulated total since the beginning of the pandemic, in the region, to 212.476.

As for deaths, there were 9 in the same period, during which 5702 people also recovered from the disease.

In hospitals, there is one more person hospitalized (45 in total). In Intensive Care there are two patients and one ventilated person, the same number as a week ago.

Also according to the report, the Municipal Vaccination Centers in Albufeira continue to operate, Faro/Penha, Lagoa, Lagos, Loulé and Tavira.

In the remaining municipalities (Alcoutim, Aljezur, Castro Marim, Monchique, Olhão, Portimão, São Brás de Alportel, Silves, Vila do Bispo and Vila Real de Santo António), vaccines are given at Health Centers.
