Activities in Foz do Almargem and Trafal encourage public participation in the future Nature Reserve

In the months of July and August

The Municipality of Loulé is organizing initiatives that will support the population in the period of public discussion underway on the process of creating the future Local Natural Reserve of Foz do Almargem and Trafal. 

During the months of July and August, the municipality will promote information sessions for the general public and target groups, «in order to encourage and facilitate public participation in this process».

On the 30th and 31st of July, thematic activities will be made available, free of charge, at the site «whose objective is also to disseminate and promote the natural, cultural and scenic values ​​present in that area», emphasizes the municipality.

On Saturday, the 30th, between 8:30 am and 10:30 am, a time for bird watching is planned, followed by a nest box construction activity and a scientific illustration workshop – graffiti/watercolor (9 am-00 am and 11 pm- 00:18). The day will end with the “Trafal and Foz do Almargem at twilight” hike, starting at 00:20 pm.

On Sunday, the 31st, the program starts with a session dedicated to “Plants and small plants on the coast”, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, “Bioblitz in the future Almargem and Trafal Nature Reserve”, from 9:15 am to 11:15 am, and “A vida da chilreta” ”, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
