AHETA: Hotel occupancy reached 75,5% in June, above the average for the month

The Irish and British markets were the ones that showed the biggest increases

The average overall occupancy rate/room was 75,5%, 3,3 percentage points below the value recorded in 2019 (-4,1%), but above the average value for the month, announced the Associação de Hotéis e Empreendimentos Tourist Boards of the Algarve (AHETA).

Compared to June 2021, average occupancy increased by 33,5 pp (+80%).

Also according to data from AHETA, last month, the Irish (+3,3pp) and British (+0,4pp) markets were the ones that showed the biggest increases compared to June 2019.

On the other hand, the biggest drops were in the German market (-2,8pp) and the national market (-1,8pp).
