ABC opens laboratory in the area of ​​active and healthy aging

The public deed of ABC CoLAB will be made official at 15:00 pm on Friday

The Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) will present this Friday, July 29, the latest collaborative laboratory in the area of ​​active and healthy aging. 

The laboratory «proposes to develop new solutions from the unique ecosystem of the Algarve region» and «aims to affirm the Algarve as a reference region for research and innovation aimed at active and healthy aging», stresses the ABC in a press release.

«Recognizing that population aging is today a universal phenomenon that requires effective responses to the new problems and challenges that accompany it, ABC CoLAB aims to fill this gap by developing new solutions for active and healthy aging based on the unique ecosystem offered by the Algarve", continues.

The public deed of ABC CoLAB will be made official at 15:00 pm, in the conference room of the library at the University of Algarve.

«Through this collaborative laboratory, integrated solutions for aging and rejuvenation will be developed, but also products, services and solutions aimed at the market will be created, based on scientific support and technological innovation. It is also ABC CoLAB's mission to enhance the creation of value and qualified scientific employment, always connecting different sectors of the economy and introducing cutting-edge technology to positively impact human health and society», highlights the ABC.
