66 young people are participating in the “GAJ Summer Holidays” program by the Albufeira Youth Office, which runs until 26 August.
The young people are divided «into three groups monitored by two technicians, who accompany the participants daily», explains the Albufeira Chamber.
The program includes several activities, namely trips to the Santa Clara dam, in Odemira, kayaking, jeep safari with a stop at the Alte fountains, 'SUP' – Stand Up Paddle, water parks such as Aquashow, Slide&Splash, Zoomarine, among other outdoor activities.
The “2022 GAJ Summer Vacations” program started on the 4th of July, being divided into two age teams: one from 13 to 18 years old (“Youth in Action”) and one from 10 to 12 years old (“ Children in Action”).
«These are fortnightly programs, with four fortnights so that everyone can enjoy the different experiences. This is an opportunity for the youngest of the municipality to occupy the two months of “big vacation” with fun water and land activities and with moments of conviviality between young people, combined with sports and adventure”, says the municipality.
The GAJ 2022 Summer Holidays "have received a feedback positive", he adds.
Currently, young people attend the second fortnight (from the 18th to the 29th of July). The next ones will be from 1st to 12th of August and from 16th to 26th of August.
