A fire in an area of bush, at the site of Fica Bem, in São Marcos da Serra, in the municipality of Silves, is being fought by about one hundred and a half of operatives and four air assets.
The alert for this fire was given at 13:13 pm.
Source of the Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command told the Sul Informação that the fire broke out next to the IC1 and, therefore, this road is conditioned.
At the moment, according to the same source, who did not provide further details, «the means of the [firefighting] device are being dispatched and they are meeting expectations».
According to the website of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, 151 operational personnel are fighting the flames, supported by 43 vehicles and four air assets.
