The inoculation of vaccines against Covid-19, and respective boosters, will be ensured by the Portimão Health Center as of this Saturday, July 2nd.
It is open from Monday to Thursday, between 15:00 and 18:00, and on Saturdays, from 9:00 to 17:00.
«This change results from the deactivation of the Municipal Vaccination Center, located in the Feiras e Exposições de Portimão Park, since the second booster shot given to people over 80 years of age (fourth vaccine) has been completed, which considerably reduces the demand, dispensing with the use of that infrastructure specifically set up for this purpose», the municipality says in a statement.
The Portimão City Council says that, if it is necessary to reactivate the Municipal Vaccination Center, which had an installed capacity to inoculate XNUMX people per hour, “it can be quickly reinstalled in the now closed space, located next to the Portimão Arena”.
