The management of Olhanense says that SAD has not paid the rent for the José Arcanjo Stadium since April 2018, with a debt of 280 thousand euros, but guarantees that it will be able to use José Arcanjo «according to rules to be established», after terminating the current contract.

In a statement sent to the newsrooms, the management of the Algarve club explains that, at the General Assembly on 20 June, the members “will have to decide whether or not to mandate the management so that, in due course, with the fundamentals, in time and for the means that it deems convenient, to terminate the lease agreement entered into on 01/07/2017, between our club and SAD».

According to the management, the Sociedade Anónima Desportiva does not pay the rent for the José Arcanjo Stadium, «which it has been obliged to, since April 2018».

This non-compliance represents «a value of more than 280 thousand euros which, of course, has greatly harmed the club that struggles with huge cash flow problems», says Olhanense.

The club's proposal «has as its main objective to return full possession of the Estádio José Arcanjo», so that the club «have those facilities, in the most beneficial way for Olhanense».

“It is not a question of “pushing” SAD out of the José Arcanjo Stadium as it will be able to use it according to the rules to be established, after the lease contract is terminated”, concludes the statement.
