The works to correct the deficiencies of the EM 268, on the section that connects Vila do Bispo to Aljezur, whose pavement was badly damaged by the action of tree roots, are already underway, announced the Vila do Bispo City Council.
According to the municipality, “the works were programmed to cause the least possible impact on traffic, but traffic is conditioned”. Thus, between 8:30 am and 18:30 pm, when passing through the construction site, car circulation takes place alternately, guided by traffic lights.
In addition to repairing the pavement damaged by tree roots, the works, awarded for €127.901 (plus VAT), include painting the horizontal signage. The execution period for this intervention is 120 days.
In a publication on its Facebook page, the Vila do Bispo City Council says it is grateful “for everyone’s understanding for the inconvenience that this situation may cause to road users, in the certainty that it is contributing to improving their safety conditions”.
