Motorcycles, cars, music and events returning to “normal” liven up the Algarve in July

Algarve Guide for July is now available

The International Concentration of the Moto Clube de Faro, Feira da Serra, motor racing and lots of music will liven up the Algarve throughout the month of July.

These are some of the suggestions from the July edition of «Guia Algarve», which is now available.

The month that starts tomorrow, Friday, will be marked by the return to normal of several events, including the Faro, which takes place in Vale das Almas from the 14th to the 17th of July.

The 40th edition of the event features the performances of the British Sisters of Mercy, the Danish DAD and the Portuguese Xutos e Pontapés and will “bring together bikers from all over the country, but also from the four corners of the world”, according to Turismo do Algarve.

Before that, another event that has proven capable of attracting real crowds will take place, the Med Festival, which starts today and brings world music to the historic center of Loulé until the 3rd of July.

Between the 8th and 10th of July, the focus will be on Albufeira and Portimão, where the Hunting, Fishing, Tourism and Nature Fair and Hankook 24h Portimão will take place, respectively.

 

 

In Albufeira, the Hunting and Fishing Fair «presents a diversified offer of activities, from dog and pack exhibitions, demonstrations of stopping dogs, competitions for honey and sheep churra, equestrian activities, canine demonstrations, without forgetting the animation, the handicrafts and gastronomy”.

The Hankook 24h Portimão is a competition of the international endurance championship that will take place at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve. In competition will be cars from the GT3, GT4 and TRC categories.

On July 18th, John Pizzarelli will pay tribute to Nat “King” Cole in Faro.

Comedy will be the central axis of ESTAR – Encontros de Teatro e Animações de Rua, which takes place from the 20th to the 23rd of July, in Burgau, Salema and Barão de São João, in Vila do Bispo and will feature «puppets, storytelling, clown , object theater, comic theater and café-concert».

From the 27th to the 31st of July, in Lagos, the Arte Doce Fair will take place, which, in addition to sweets, will feature concerts by Rui Veloso, Gabriel O Pensador, Dillaz, Bárbara Bandeira and Mariza, entertainment, crafts and taverns.

The Feira da Serra de São Brás de Alportel is another event that returns in person this summer. From the 28th to the 31st of July «there are handicrafts, gastronomy, mountain traditions and concerts by DAMA, Queen Tribute Show, Carlão and Bonga».
