Gisela João will be in Tavira on June 24th to celebrate City Day

Concert starts at 22:00, in Praça da República

Tavira celebrates City Day on the 24th of June and, to celebrate, it will host a concert by Gisela João. 

The celebrations begin at 10:30 am with the hoisting of the flags in the City Hall, followed by a formal session at 11:00 am in the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library.

The ceremony also includes the distinction of three employees with medals for good service and dedication to the silver degree (30 years of service) and twelve employees with medals for good service and dedication to the copper degree (20 years of service).

The municipality will also pay tribute to eight citizens and local entities that have distinguished themselves in society for their career, through the award of a municipal merit medal (gold, silver and copper).

Finally, Gisela João marks one of the highlights of these celebrations, with a concert at 22 pm in Praça da República.

However, the party doesn't stop there. From the 23rd to the 26th of June and on the 28th and 29th of June, at 21:30 pm, Jardim do Coreto is once again the stage for the fairs promoted by the Municipality of Tavira.

On the 23rd, the Trio Versátil e Rancho Folclórico da Luz de Tavira performs, the 24th is Cristiano Martins' turn, 25th receives Gerações, 26 Mais Dois, 28th Rúben Filipe and 29 Sons do Sul.

In addition to Jardim do Coreto, other parts of the county will also be the stage for various festivals.

Still on the night of São João, at 00:00, on the Discoveries Bridge, the pyromusical show welcomes the City Day, 24th of June.

Later, at 06:12 am, there will be the “Nascer do Sol” walk, an initiative of the Municipality of Tavira promoted by the Casa do Povo de Santo Estêvão.
