Fuzeta hosts workshops with international dancers

The event joins dance to the summer mood

The Algarve Dancehall Academy (ADA) will organize the Algarve Dancehall Summer Vibes Portugal, «the biggest event dedicated to Dancehall in the Algarve», on the 25th and 26th of June, in Fuzeta.

The Algarve Dancehall Summer Vibes Portugal will take place at the sports facilities next to the Camping Park and Praia da Fuzeta.

«This Urban Dance event, in the Dancehall style, comes with the idea of ​​combining dance with the climate that the region can provide at this time of year», says the academy.

“So, combining a style of dance as exuberant as dancehall, the beach and the sun, makes this weekend's experience unique, memorable”, he adds.

The program includes providing all dancers with various workshops with some of the best national and international dancers in this style of dance, as well as holding exhibitions by professional teams and holding a Dancehall.

On the 25th, workshops will take place at 11:00 am, with Dyana Dua (Portugal), at 14:00 pm, with Sri Lanka (Jamaica) and at 16:00 pm, with Marthe Vangeel (Holland).

At 21 pm, there are shows with Dancehall Crews Show and Dancehall Summer Vibes Contest.

On the 26th, there are more workshops, this time with Joan Gringesho (France), at 11:00, and with the Chin Flame Team (Jamaica), at 14:00.

On that day, there will also be Dancehall Talks at 16 pm and a Dancehall Clash at 00 pm.

The ADA was created on July 9, 2007, and has already trained thousands of young dancers, with a strong component in urban dance. Currently with around 335 dancers, it is present in the cities of Tavira, Olhão, Faro, Loulé, Almancil and Quarteira, also counting on enormous support from the municipal authorities.

In addition to allowing them specific training, in Faro and Olhão, for the styles of Hip Hop, Dancehall, House, Breaking, Waacking, Afro and Contemporary, ADA has been present with competition teams in several national and international championships (Spain, Holland, France and others), obtaining classifications of great relief.

There are currently 8 competing teams: Sparks Kids, Sparks Jr, Young Sparks, Sparks, G-Sparks, Little Diamonds, Diamonds and Crown Dance Team. As a result of this commitment to the dynamics of competition, the “Sparks” team is one of the ADA teams that will represent Portugal in the World Urban Dance Championship, the HHI -Hip-Hop International, to be held next August, in Phoenix (Arizona). -USA), in the United States of America.

On a more educational level, the ADA also provides training and school support, as well as the use of various services in the area of ​​health and well-being.

This academy holds, annually, several exhibition and performance events: the Algarve Dance Meeting, Gala Dance Natal, Show Your True Color, I Can Beat You, Keep it Real, Dancehall Summer Vibes.

It also promotes an international competition event, the International Hip Hop Dance Algarve Convention, this year in its 13th edition, which includes the presence of some of the best national and international dance schools and academies, as well as international juries that will also provide workshops in the most varied styles.
