Comedy, music and dance are back in the Albufeira auditorium

First event takes place this Saturday, June 18

The Albufeira Municipal Auditorium will host several shows this month for all those who appreciate the art of theatre, dance, music and comedy.

For this Saturday, June 18, a dance demonstration is scheduled, with the performance of Associação ArtedoSul, at 18:00.

The female dance group presents “Com Vida”, a show developed throughout the school year, in which classes interact and weave an original and always new story each year. Admission is free, subject to room capacity.

At the end of the month, the entertainment is in charge of Carlos Cunha, who, over the course of three days, will interpret the play “Ai a minha filho!”. The actor, along with Erika Mota, promise a lot of rhythm and good mood, in a comedy based on the text by Roberto Pereira and Eva Jesus.

The shows will take place on the 24th and 25th at 21:30 pm and on the 26th at 16:30 pm. The play talks about a “fifty-year-old”, Jacinto, who is surprised by his wife in the act of marital betrayal. From then on, “everything went wrong for him: he went from owner of a restaurant to a waiter, from wealthy to well-off, from head of a family to single father, and from womanizer to stranded. Living with his daughter since then, Jacinto will do anything to relive one (or more) great love. And for that, he will try everything. And everything is really everything. Even professional help. Jacinto is far from knowing that the root of all his problems sleeps under his roof: and it is neither more nor less than his daughter ”, reads the synopsis of the show.

This comedy is for children over 12 years old and costs 12,50 euros. Tickets can be purchased at the João Bailote Municipal Gallery, or at the Municipal Auditorium on the day of the show, two hours in advance, or through Ticketline.

Next to the Municipal Auditorium, the João Bailote Gallery will host until the 1st of July the Collective Exhibition of Students of the Academia da Idade Maior in Albufeira.

This academy is aimed at increasing the value of the population over 50 years old, who want to enrich their knowledge and enhance their learning.

The exhibition consists of works carried out during the 2021-2022 school year in the disciplines of Decorative Arts and Arraiolos and Embroidery, taught voluntarily by professors Joaquim Veiga and Graciete Mendes.

The works are by Adília Ernesto, Ana Paula Coelho, Célia Custódio, Celisa Pacheco, Conceição Martins, Francisca Pires, Graciete Mendes, Helena Carmo, Maria da Luz Conceição, Maria José Soares, Maria Leonor Cruz, Maria Manuela Fernandes, Odília Guerreiro , Regina Amorim, Rosa Maria Silva, Teresa Albuquerque, Vanda de La Salete. To watch from Monday to Saturday between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm and between 13:30 pm and 17:30 pm.
