The Escola de Artes Mestre Fernando Rodrigues, in Lagoa, will receive the painting exhibition by the students of the Plastic Artist Meire Gomes, entitled “Ho'oponopono”, which will be on display at Galeria Manuela Vale, from 14 July to 31 August.
Ho'oponopono, in the Hawaiian language, means "to correct a mistake" or "to put in perfect order".
According to Lagoa City Council, this exhibition aims to «raise awareness and alert humanity to the task of correcting our attitudes and raising awareness of the consequences of committing an ecological crime».
The children and adults, under the guidance of the artist and teacher Meire Gomes, carried out research and performed works on animals that are suffering, some out of ignorance, others out of human vanity.
The exhibition is free of charge and can be visited from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 am and 12:00 pm or between 14:30 pm and 17:00 pm.
