Three young people arrested for stealing cell phones in Albufeira

The arrest took place following a patrol next to nightlife establishments in Albufeira.

Three young people, aged between 20 and 22, were arrested this Tuesday, June 7, for stealing mobile phones, in Albufeira. 

According to the GNR, the arrest took place as a result of patrolling the nightlife establishments in Albufeira.

The Guard's soldiers were informed that a group of individuals was approaching young people on the public road to steal their cell phones and that, for that, "they assaulted the victims and threatened them with a knife".

According to the authorities, it was possible to locate and intercept the suspects “who had in their possession a knife and several cell phones”.

In the course of the action, it was still possible to determine that a young man, as a result of the aggressions, ended up receiving medical treatment.

The detainees were presented to the Albufeira Judicial Court, where they were subject to the coercive measure of three-weekly presentations at the police station in their area of ​​residence.
