The action also resulted in the seizure of 0,1 grams of cocaine.

A security guard at a bar in Albufeira was arrested this Monday, May 16, for possession of a prohibited weapon. The man still had 0,1 grams of cocaine in his possession.

According to the GNR, the arrest took place as part of a police action in the “main nightlife areas of the city”.

The military alerted “a member of the private security of an establishment for the correct use of the professional card” and, after inspection, they found that he was in possession of a bladed weapon: “a leather object with a metallic tip”.

The action also resulted in the seizure of 0,1 grams of cocaine.

The detainee was made an accused and the facts were reported to the Albufeira Judicial Court.

The GNR recalls that, in accordance with the Legal Regime for Arms and Ammunition, anyone who, without being authorised, holds, transports, keeps, buys or acquires any weapon listed in paragraph 1 of Article 86 of the same diploma, finds to incur the crime of possession of a prohibited weapon.
