Prof. Herrero honored in Lagoa with dinner on Friday the 13th

«Great reference and unavoidable figure in the panorama» of Portuguese magic

The magician Prof. Herrero celebrates his 55th year of career, tomorrow, Friday the 13th, with a tribute dinner promoted by the Municipality of Lagoa. The dinner, which starts at 20:13 pm, will have about two hundred guests.

Known by the Portuguese and by many foreigners who have attended and participated in his shows, Prof. Herrero is «a great reference and unavoidable figure in the panorama» of Portuguese magic, with a «remarkable career» and a personality that «deserves to be highlighted», emphasizes the organization of the tribute.

Presented as «a multifaceted and versatile artist», Prof. Herrero, alias Dagoberto Cabrita Campos, is an «illusionist, hypnotist, fakir, writer, parapsychologist, poet, columnist in various newspapers and magazines». Over his 55-year career, he had almost 300 appearances on television shows in Portugal, Spain and Germany. «Prof Herrero led audiences in Herman José's TV and Radio programs».

In the 90s, he created the “Dinners of the 13th”, where, with tables for 13 people, entrance under stairs, black cats, people fought in a cheerful way against superstitions, demystifying “charlatans, miracle workers, prophets, witches, seers, haunted houses".

Of his curriculum, it is also worth mentioning the set of awards he accumulated, among others, the Personality of the Year, which he received twice in a row, the Career Award, from the Loulé City Council, and “Sons e Vozes”, Originality: Faquirismo. Prof Herrero has the status of "Most versatile in the world", attribution of the Guinness Book of Records.

He wrote the following books: «The Dead Don't Speak», «Um Shit in the Tola», «The Masochist», «Faquirismo e Vida» and «Course of Hypnotism».
