A Faro will host the 11th edition of the Algarve Design Meeting and showcase talents and projects in this industry between the 23rd and 28th of May.
The kick-off for this initiative by the University of the Algarve (UAlg), the Chamber of Faro and the National Association of Designers, will be held at 18:00 pm on the 23rd, at the east entrance of Rua de Santo António, with the opening of the Window project and the opening of the exhibitions and party in the Lounge Space of Fábrica da Cerveja.
Over the course of six days, «institutions, companies, professors, researchers, professionals and the general public can, through various activities, get in touch with various projects and talents existing in these sectors of the creative industry, promoting knowledge between the different collectives of our society», illustrates the UAlg.
In this 11th edition, the program it has conferences in various areas of design, exhibitions, workshops, pop-up stores, performances, alumni talks, the showcase project, as well as the well-known videomapping festival.
«This is a work of continuity, which has become a reference not only in the dissemination and promotion of design, but also for the University of Algarve and the city of Faro. The Algarve Design Meeting also has the mission of placing the southern region of the country on the map of major international events in the area of creative industries».
