The GC32 Racing Tour circuit lands in Lagos for the second stage, from the 22nd to the 26th of June, and the World Class, from the 13th to the 17th of July.

Since 2018, Lagos has been chosen to host these “flying boats” on the world circuit, consisting of five stages.

The seven catamarans in competition arrive in Lagos after the opening event, which takes place in Riva del Garda, Italy, scheduled for the end of May.

The big news this year will be the participation of the Alinghi team, winner of three of the four stages last year.

With a view to improving the infrastructure and services available for these major sailing events, Marina de Lagos made a strong investment in developing a new pier dedicated to these nautical events.

«We developed the project for a new pontoon dedicated to the nautical events that we intend to host. With the number of teams registered on the circuit this year, it was impossible to host these events in the same way as in previous years. The VIP tent and the heart of the event also return to the area next to the marina reception, with a larger area», says Martinho Fortunato, from Marlagos, the company that owns Marina de Lagos.
