António Branco is the new president of the Orquestra Clássica do Sul

Elections of the new governing bodies took place on 28 April

António Branco, former rector of the University of the Algarve, is the new president of the Associação Musical do Algarve (AMA), which manages and administers the Orquestra Clássica do Sul.

The election of the new governing bodies of AMA took place on the 28th of April, at a General Meeting held at the premises of AMAL – Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve, in Faro.

Born in Malange (Angola) on January 16, 1961, António Branco was an actor and musician before graduating in Modern Languages ​​and Literature from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon in 1989.

Two years later, in 1991, he started teaching at the University of Algarve, where he received a PhD in Literature in 1999, having obtained the degree in Arts in 2012.
