Algarve Isaac Nader wins Iberoamerican Athletics Championship

The Algarve Isaac Nader was crowned this Sunday, May 22, Iberoamerican champion in athletics. The athlete from Faro won the 1500 meters event, held in Alicante (Spain). 

Nader, who attacked on the last lap, clocked a time of 3.43,86 minutes, beating the competition.

In 2nd place was the Argentine José Zabala and, in 3rd, Pol Moya (Andorra).

In these Iberoamerican Championships, there were other Algarves that stood out.

In the 10.000 meters march, Ana Cabecinha, from Clube Oriental de Pechão, won the bronze medal.

Gerson Baldé and Etson Barros, both from Benfica, were 4th in the high jump and 5th in the 3000 meters hurdles, respectively.
