Project aims to develop and enhance the entrepreneurial skills of the little ones

The 1st cycle schools in the municipality of Albufeira have been hosting the “Startiupi” project since the 16th, oriented towards the development of the personal and social skills of its participants, through fun and effective dynamics and pedagogical games.

The project consists of three sessions, where the little ones develop and enhance their entrepreneurial skills and experience the product value creation cycle.

Thus, in addition to apprehending the concepts, it is intended to create small products that can be symbolically marketed at the Startiupi Fairs, to be held on June 8, in each Albufeira School Group.

The project's methodology focuses on the premise that entrepreneurship is an attitude of being in life and that can be developed from an early age, believing that entrepreneurial children will be happier adults with more opportunities to choose.

Startup Albufeira, in the path of developing entrepreneurial skills among children and young people, is participating in the “First Festival of Arts and Citizenship” promoted by the Group of Schools of Albufeira West, in two moments.

As part of this initiative, Thursday was dedicated to "Literature, Solidarity and Entrepreneurship", with Startup Albufeira having a first moment on entrepreneurship, with the youngest, in the auditorium of AHETA - Associação dos Hotéis e Empreendimentos Turísticos do Porto. Algarve.

A session entitled “Stories I never shared” with Luís Matos Martins was also held at the Albufeira Secondary School, including group dynamics to understand the concept of how to be a true entrepreneur.

“Developing entrepreneurship in childhood is not just encouraging positively and falsely everything they say or do. It is also about doing, by your side, showing and sharing doubts, exploring solutions”, says the mayor José Carlos Rolo.

The mayor also mentions that “initiatives like these, thought and planned, are meritorious. They look at a distance that can only be translated, as Keynes taught us, into the economy of Happiness”.
