To mark World Earth Day, which is celebrated this Friday, April 22, Vale do Lobo is organizing a beach cleaning walk for this Saturday, 23, between 10 am and 00 pm.
With the objective of «raising awareness of the importance of preserving the natural environment that is enjoyed for most of the year, but especially during the approaching summer months», Vale do Lobo Resort invites residents, visitors and the community to join to this environmental awareness initiative.
The activity starts at 10:00 am, at Praça de Vale do Lobo, from where the participants go to the beach, where they will collect the garbage and count it at the end. During the route, which lasts for three hours, awareness of environmental preservation will also be made, using suggestions and educational facts about environmental conservation with the collaboration of the Vita Nativa Association, responsible for environmental conservation.
Registration for the beach cleaning action is free, but it must be done through the platform eventbrite.
