Turismo do Algarve launches training again for international tourist agents

The purpose of these courses is to provide a complete and detailed perspective on the diversity of the Algarve

The Algarve Tourism Association (ATA) is relaunching free online training on the destination's offer, aimed at international tourist agents.

The objective of these courses is to provide a complete and detailed perspective on the diversity of the offer that the Algarve offers to its visitors, throughout the year and throughout its territory.

«We want to invite professionals in the sector to deepen their knowledge of our destination and discover new valences and motivations that go beyond attributes that are already internationally recognized, such as beaches, good weather or award-winning golf courses», reveals João Fernandes, president of ATA.

In this context, the virtual classes cover several modules on different topics such as attractions, hidden gems, nature and sustainability, regional events and meeting industry.

At the moment, trainings designed specifically for the markets of the United Kingdom and USA, A version for the French market is also planned shortly.

Adapted to the interests of the main markets that visit the Algarve, these courses are, however, accessible to all professionals in the sector who want to know more about the destination. Registration is free, by registering on the respective platforms.

“Participants will have the opportunity to become true experts in the region's offer, learning about each of the topics at their own pace”, says the ATA.

They will also be able to benefit from a series of complementary content about the Algarve, namely free e-books with information on all tourist products and a list of useful contacts. Additionally, agents who complete the training will be able to participate in a Fam Trip to the destination, organized by the Algarve Tourism Association (ATA).

Launched for the first time in 2020, during the confinement, these training courses reflect the commitment to a strategy of joint work and proximity that Turismo do Algarve promotes with international tourism agents.
