Startup Portimão organizes another Online Acceleration Bootcamp

Smart Cities and ESG – Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance will be the central themes

The 3rd Online Acceleration Bootcamp in the Algarve, organized by Startup Portimão, will take place on the 27th and 28th of April and 25th and 26th of May. 

Smart Cities and ESG – Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance will be the central themes of this Bootcamp, which, like the two previous editions, will take place in English and online, with the exception of the 26th of May.

This year's Bootcamp will feature talks in sessions open to the public scheduled for the 27th and 28th of April where various topics will be addressed, from “Ecommerce: what else?”, with Katarina Johansson, head of E-commerce at Nespresso, “The Power of Resilience”, with Rodrigo Coutinho, co-founder and director of Data Science at OutSystems or “Zero Risk Startup”, with Paulo Andrez, president of Toys'R'Us Iberia Holdings.

The themes “Finance 4 Startups” will also be addressed, with João Pereira, director of Portugal Ventures and “How to improve entrepreneurial decision-making”, with Ana Barjasic, CEO of Connectology and member of the European Innovation Council, among others talks of themes that encourage the development and acceleration of business.

The "talks" will take place in English and broadcast through the Zoom platform, with prior registration through this link.

StartUp Portimão will also have a panel on sources of funding for this initiative, scheduled for the 25th of May, with representation of different types of funding, namely Business Angels, Venture Capital, Crowdfunding and Banking.

On the panel, we will have names like Filipe Portela, Managing Partner from TEAL Impact, José Maia – Portugal Investment Lead from August One, and Nuno Brito Jorge, co-founder and executive director of Goparity.

The Bootcamp will also include moments of networking, Speed ​​Mentoring e Pitch Stations for the selected entrepreneurs, the Startup Academy Plan being the tool that will be used to develop the business plan, which was designed by Territórios Criativos and is quite intuitive.

On the 26th of May, the face-to-face format will return, with a conference on the theme of Smart Cities and the Tourism Challenges that will take place in the auditorium of the Portimão Museum. At the end of this conference, the selected projects will present the pitches to a jury that will give its feedback.

The last edition of Bootcamp had 14 projects, 17 mentors, seven judges and 33 partners.
