The Municipality of Silves continues to promote a campaign to collect donations for Ukraine and reinforced, this Friday, the appeal to the population of the municipality for the delivery of donations at the Fissul Complex.
According to the municipality, the first delivery of goods to the Algarve Ukrainian Association, based in Faro, happened “recently”.
«The transport, carried out in a municipal vehicle, brought together basic essential material, namely personal hygiene items, articles for children, pharmaceutical products, nursing material and medicines. It is also worth noting that all Ukrainian families residing in the municipality have received food baskets, clothing and other basic necessities», highlights the Câmara de Silves.
In a note sent to the newsrooms, the Municipality of Silves “thanks all contributions and involvement in this campaign” and “reinforces the appeal to the population to intensify active solidarity with the people of Ukraine”.
Donations can be delivered to Fissul from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 21:00 pm, and on Saturday, from 08:00 am to 13:00 pm.
