The Municipality of Silves invested around 115 euros in road repair equipment, comprising a truck, repair machine and cylinder, announced the municipality.
This investment "will allow the municipality to carry out, using few human resources, the repair of bituminous pavements, in a durable and simple way, with waterproofing of the surface layers, in order to avoid the passage of water to the lower base layers, guaranteeing, in this way, the integrity of the road to be repaired'.
«This system also allows, using only two operators, to use only the material necessary for each repair situation, without waste, a fact that translates into significant financial savings, while contributing to the implementation of more environmentally responsible strategies», added the Chamber of Silves.
