The third round of the Centro/South Portugal Motocross Championship takes place in Cortelha, Loulé, on the 1st of May.
The race will take place at the Algar Motocross Circuit and expects more than 120 riders in different classes, some of them from the Algarve.
The traditional Grand Prix of May of Cortelha, organized by the Associação dos Amigos da Cortelha, is, for many, one of the best Motocross events in Portugal and, this year, it receives the MX1, MX2, MX65, MX85, Ladies and Classic classes, and has some changes, such as the creation of new jumps.
At 8:30 am on the 1st of May, training sessions for the different classes will begin, so that in the middle of the morning, at 11:00 am, the official races can begin, with the start being given by the 1st heat of the MX65. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place at 18:30, thus consecrating the winners of the Cortelha Motocross race.
Anyone who wants to attend the competition can buy tickets at the entrance to the venue, which cost 5 euros.
For the organization of this event, the Associação dos Amigos da Cortelha has the seal of the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation and the support of the Municipality of Loulé, Parish Council of Salir, Algar, Matemativerso, KeraKoll, Secil Britas, Albombas, Sul Moto and União Cargo Trucking, among other entities.
