The team of teachers from the Agrupamento de Escolas de Albufeira, who are part of the European project Erasmus+ “MY TECH – I'm connected but not addicted to technology”, made, between 21 and 25 March, another trip, this time to Cristuru Secuiesc, in Transylvania (Romania).

In this mobility, whose theme was “Technological risks: well-being and social life”, the groups from Turkey, Romania and Portugal reflected on the use of technologies, taking into account a healthy life from a physical and social point of view.

In this sense, they attended a lecture by Ildikó Simó, psychologist and director of the “Petőfi Sándor” school, who spoke about raising awareness of a healthy body for a healthy mind, through the practice of sport and food.

The same speaker also identified the technological and digital evolution through the generations, focusing, above all, on the Z generation. This generation is characterized “by living in symbiosis with the digital universe; enjoy studying in a digital environment; knowing where to find information; spend more than three hours a day on the computer; interact on social networks; not having physical activity, but playing a lot of video games».

Given this scenario, a solution to teach students who will be the future will be to reinforce the use of technologies and provide OER - Open Educational Resources.

The following day, trainer Veronika Margit gave a presentation on stress management. Food and sport are two ways to minimize the excessive use of technologies.

At the “Petőfi Sándor” school, in honor of the Hungarian poet of Romanticism, Hungarian is spoken and its traditions are preserved, as it is an area that belonged to Hungary before the 1920 treaty, when they became inserted in Romanian territory. All manuals are written in Hungarian and Romanian is given as a second language.

As it could not be and to experience the local culture, the group went to see some tourist attractions, such as a farm, a salt mine, Dracula's castle in Bran, the beautiful city of Brasov and the medieval city of Sighisoara.

On the day of his return to Portugal, there was still time for a trip to Bucharest.
