Portimão receives decisive play-off for the Handball World Championship

The “A” Men's Handball National Team will play the first leg of the World Cup qualifying play-off against the Netherlands, on April 14, at 19:00, at Portimão Arena.

The Portuguese, after a double victory against Switzerland, in the first play-off, will face the Dutch for a decisive moment of qualification for the World Championship of the sport.

«The city of Portimão is once again the stronghold of the Heroes of the Sea, who hope to bring new joy to the Portuguese fans, who have been an active voice in the growth of this team, which has, in the recent past, ranked 10th in the last World Cup. Mundo, a 6th place at the 2020 European Championship (both best rankings ever in the respective competitions) and an unprecedented presence at the Olympic Games, in Tokyo 2020", says the Portimão City Council.

Tickets cost 10 euros and are on sale on the official website of online box office or locally at the following points of sale: Portimão Arena ticket office, weekdays from 9:30 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 18:30 pm, Ticket Office – Teatro Municipal de Portimão, from Tuesday to Saturday from 13:00 pm to 18:00 pm, Portimão Museum, Tuesday from 14:30 to 18:00 and from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
