The Cultural Association Artis XXI will hold, between the 8th and 27th of May, the III Piano Festival Cidade de Lagoa, which includes performances in the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, Mexilhoeira da Carregação Church and Porches Church.
The shows start at 18:30 pm, except on the 27th, when it starts at 21:00 pm, and, in addition to these, piano concerts will also be held in homes for the elderly in the municipality of Lagoa.
The III Cidade de Lagoa Piano Festival will have four concerts and will feature different formats and musical languages, «provided by pianists with relevant careers in the national and international scene, while creating a space for dialogue for musicians residing in the territory of Lagoa, always having the piano as the main protagonist».
In this third edition, the presence of pianist Artur Pizarro, jazz pianist Alexandre Dahmen, pianist Cristiana Silva and cellist Sunita Mamtani stands out. The final concert of the Festival will be in charge of pianists Jeferson Mello, João Luís Rosa and percussionists João Paias and Tiago Pires, members of Ensemble Artis XXI.
