The three rooms of the Nursery and Kindergarten of Castro Marim gained new furniture, after the same establishment had benefited from an investment that allowed it to increase its thermal efficiency, according to the Castro Marim Chamber.
The largest investment, around one hundred thousand euros, was made in replacing the roof, «which was still in fiber cement», and «in applying a more thermally efficient solution».
“Due to the context of the pandemic, and with the continuous teaching activities, the work took longer than initially planned. However, with the understanding of all families, children today have a more pleasant space with greater comfort and safety», frames the municipality.
In parallel with the completion of this work, the municipality invested around 7 thousand euros in new furniture for the three rooms of this educational establishment, «which translates into greater comfort for children».
«More modern and adapted to the needs of children, this furniture transforms classrooms into more welcoming environments and also facilitates washing and disinfection, as it is equipment with more resistance and impermeability», adds the Câmara de Castro Marim.
The municipality also recently hired «a technician to develop music activities with the preschool of Castro Marim and Altura, an investment that will translate into the curricular enrichment of these children».
The municipality recalls that, “after the requalification of the outdoor space of the Castro Marim Nursery and Kindergarten, in 2018, the municipality of Castro Marim equipped all the computer rooms and high-definition projectors and the dining room with new furniture. Recently, an investment was also made in air conditioning, with the installation of air conditioning. Improvements will now be followed with paint jobs».
