PSD deputies criticize lack of requalification of EN125 in the State Budget

Social Democrats «regret the abandonment» to which the road is doomed

The PSD deputies elected by the Algarve said this Friday their “stupefaction” that there was “no measure” in the State Budget for 2022 regarding the project to requalify the EN125, “a road that is degraded”.

The Algarve social democrats «regret the abandonment» to which this road is doomed and say that «it is clear» that the promised works for the requalification of the EN125 in Sotavento «are not part of the executive's priorities, which thus leaves the population of the Algarve at the mercy of thanks to a degraded road and that every year registers several thousand accidents'.

«The requalification of the EN125 is an urgent need for the district of Faro, since the state of the road presents serious risks for the safety of all motorists».

The deputies Luís Gomes, Rui Cristina and Ofélia Ramos promise to «demand that profound works be carried out to requalify the EN125 in the section between Faro and Vila Real de Santo António, as was the recommendation of the Assembly of the Republic last year».
