Intermunicipal Community of the Algarve mourns the death of Joaquim Vairinhos

Vairinhos, who was mayor of Loulé, also served as president of the Intermunicipal Assembly of AMAL

The Algarve Intermunicipal Community (AMAL), which brings together the 16 mayors of the region, regretted this Tuesday, 12 April, the death of Joaquim Vairinhos, former mayor of Loulé.

In a note signed by António Pina, president of AMAL, it is read that the «death of Joaquim Vairinhos, a man defending causes, leaves the Algarve poorer».

Vairinhos, who was mayor of Loulé, also held the position of president of the Intermunicipal Assembly of AMAL and was a member of the then Board of Directors, as mayor, “having always carried out with dedication and commitment the functions related to the position”.

Joaquim Vairinhos died yesterday, the 11th, at the age of 77, victim of a prolonged illness.
