From the 8th to the 29th of April, the exhibition room of the Library of the University of Algarve, on the Campus of Portimão, will host a philatelic exhibition that aims to make known to the youngest the «didactic and cultural potential of this type of collecting».
The exhibition, organized by the Lions Clube de Portimão, will have collections of philatelists from the Algarve, covering various specialties.
The inauguration will feature a post office open at the University, from 16 pm to 00 pm, a commemorative stamp and receipt of correspondence. This postmark will only work on that day.
There will also be a Collectors' Meeting from 18:00 pm to 19:30 pm, in Room 3 of the University.
Correios de Portugal, the Municipality of Portimão, the Portuguese Philatelic Federation and AFAL – Associação Filatélica do Algarve collaborate with this event.
