Cenas de Teatro premieres this month the third show at the Antiga Fábrica da Cerveja, in Faro

“Terrorismo” is the third creation of Cenas de Teatro and will be presented on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of April

Theater Scenes – um independent artistic project conceived by Neusa Dias – yeah composed of five shows and this month presents the third creation. “Terrorism” is a show made from the text “Terrorism” by Irmãos Presniakov, with dramaturgy and staging by Neusa Dias, and will be presented at the Antiga Fábrica da Cerveja, in Faro, on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of April.

After “Morro como País” (presented in December of last year at Associação 289, in Faro) and “Antígona” (presented in February, also at the Antiga Fábrica da Cerveja, in Faro) – shows that had the participation of 2nd year trainee students of the Professional Course of Interpreter/Actor/Actress at Escola Secundária Tomás Cabreira, alongside the artists Marta Gorgulho, Neusa Dias and Sara Martins – now arrives on the “Terrorism” scene.

According to Cenas de Teatro, this show will be «a kind of mental lego, disconcerting, that escapes attempts to build a narrative linearity or unequivocal logic» and, despite the title, in “Terrorism” «there are no criminal autocrats; there are no tanks, mortars or missile launchers; there are no Red Brigades, FP-25s or Al-Qaeda. There is a human type in the process of degradation: without yearning, aspiration, trust, creativity, unable to distinguish what limits and terrifies him in everyday life, at home, at work, in public spaces. For him, Heaven is Hell, unless he becomes aware of and takes responsibility for the destructive impulses that undermine his existential well-being.

The cast includes the performances of Bruno Martins, Marta Gorgulho and Neusa Dias, professional actors, who are on stage with eight trainee students from the 3rd year of the Professional Course in Performing Arts at Escola Secundária Tomás Cabreira, partner of the Cenas project. of Theater: Beatriz Rêgo, Catarina Catalão, Guilherme Gomes, Jonas Ajami, Joel Carvalho, Henrique Manso, Sofia Louro and Sofia Tluczykont.

The team also counts on the work of interns Jamila Mendes, responsible for the illustration and video of the show, Érika Estrela in the technical operation and Rayssa Fernandes in the rehearsal assistance. The backstage and front-house tasks are entrusted to intern students of the 2nd year of the Professional Interpreter/Actor/Actress Course: Lara Belmonte (Characterization), Catarina Correia, Maria Carrajola and Rita Ferreira (Hair), Lia Férin (Technical Operation) , Iara Jesus, Maria Sousa, Lara Ramos and Ana Ferreira (public reception and room assistance).

On the 22nd and 23rd of April, the Antiga Fábrica da Cerveja hosts the show at 21:30 and on the 24th of April at 17:6.
