BMX Portuguese Cup: Pedro Amaral (Clube Bicross de Portimão) dominates at home

Pedro Amaral (Clube Bicross de Portimão) and Rita Xufre (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/knowledge inside) were the big winners of the Portuguese BMX Cup, which started this weekend at the Portimão track, with the first two participate in this competition.

Pedro Amaral (Clube Bicross de Portimão) started with everything for the 2022 BMX Portuguese Cup, winning both events taking place this weekend.

Bernardo Rocha (AEBTT Rio/Mr.Print) was right behind, finishing the first and second races in second place. Rodrigo Campino (BMX Águias S.Gabriel/Mundimat) was third in the race on Saturday and David Almeida (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/knowledge inside) closed the podium of the second race.

Consistency was also present in the women's sector, with Rita Xufre (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/knowledge inside) dominating in both events of the Cup. Leonor Carvalho (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/knowledge inside) finished both races in second and Filipa Gonçalves (Clube Bicross de Portimão) in third.

In the male cadets category, André Ribeiro (Clube Bicross de Portimão) stood out in both competitions. Íris Moraru (Clube Bicross de Portimão) won in the category 9/12 years and Carlota Santos (Casa do Povo de Abrunheira) in 13/14 years.

In the school categories, in the pupils, Miguel Santos (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/knowledge inside) won the first race, on Saturday, and Francisco Gil (Clube Bicross de Portimão) was the winner of today. In the others, the same consistency was found in the most prominent categories.

In Benjamins, the victory went to Isaac Borralho (AEBTT Rio/Mr.Print), in the beginners to Gustavo Pereira (Clube Bicross de Portimão), in the children to Gonçalo Ribeiro (Clube Bicross de Portimão) and in the juniors to Francisco Sousa (Team BMX Quarteira).

In the veteran categories, in male masters the victory in both races went to Carlos Rosado (Clube Bicross de Portimão) and in cruiser 30/39 to André Martins (Team BMX Quarteira).

In the 40+ cruiser category, Rodrigo Raposo (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/knowledge inside) won the first race and Paulo Domingues (Individual) the second. In the female category, in the +25 years category, Sirlei Lopes (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/knowledge inside) was the one who won both events.

Also noteworthy is the Portimão Bicross Club, which leads the team classification.
