Silves requalifies area at Herdade de São Bom Homem to be used by scouts

The municipality installed «levels, shaded areas» and improved accessibility

Silves has requalified an area in the Herdade de São Bom Homem so that it can be used, in a preferential way, by the scout groups in the municipality.

The municipality installed «levels, shaded areas» and improved accessibility.

«This intervention is also intended to create conditions for the promotion of a forest space that is owned by the municipality» so that it is used, «preferably by the scout groups in the municipality, promoting both its frequent use and the increase in site surveillance'.

The interventions were carried out by the teams of Sapadores Florestais of the SPCF, who also carried out the management of fuels in the surrounding area, with a view to reinforcing the safety of the space.

The municipality guarantees that it will “continue to implement new interventions in an area closer to the urban area of Silves, in order to create the most appropriate conditions for hiking and observing nature, by the population and by schools in the municipality, in particular” .
