Green Week brings environmental and environmental literacy workshops to Lagoa

Lagoa will promote four workshops in the area of ​​the environment and environmental literacy, in another edition of the environmental education project Semana Verde, which takes place between the 21st and 25th of March.

The Lagos Chamber intends, with this initiative, to honor «the public education establishments that were awarded the Green Flag by ABAE, within the scope of the Eco Schools program in the 2020/21 school year, also involving civil society».

In this edition of Green Week, "environmental education activities are planned for the school community and the community in general, as a way of celebrating the Spring Equinox, World Forest or Tree Day, World Water Day, World of Meteorology and the National Student Day», according to the municipality.

The four workshops that will be promoted aim to « reinforce the commitment of the Municipality of Lagoa in the fulfillment and promotion of the SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals, for the realization of the 2030 Agenda».

– March 21 (Monday), from 10:30 am to 13:30 pm – Workshop “Using Native Plants for Green Spaces”, with Ivo Rosa and participation of José Vieira.

– March 22 (Tuesday), from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm – Workshop “Biodiversity of Rivers and Streams” (ZOOM Online Format), with Lúcia Pereira (Marca Adl.)

– March 23 (Wednesday), from 9:30 am to 11:30 am – Workshop “Weather Forecasts – From theory to practice”, with Bruno Gonçalves
